The revitalization of Fremont Park has brought new life to Glendale’s oldest and most historic park. Once a cherished neighborhood greenspace, it now serves as a vibrant destination offering much-needed recreation for residents just north of downtown.
Guided by community input gathered through extensive outreach, DVDCreative’s design introduces new synthetic turf soccer fields, a community center, play areas, picnic grounds, and ball courts. Enhanced lighting, improved access, and a full perimeter path ensure safety and connectivity, while upgraded parking, maintenance facilities, and a refurbished home for the model railroad club strengthen this community landmark.
The park’s active tennis courts also received a full renovation with new surfacing, fencing, and lighting—creating a refreshed, welcoming space for lessons, tournaments, and everyday play. Fremont Park now stands as a renewed symbol of community pride and connection in the heart of Glendale.
Vision
Fremont Park has been reimagined as a lively, welcoming hub at the heart of Glendale. Celebrating its rich history and unique character, the park now offers a mix of recreation and play that invites the whole community to gather, explore, and have fun. Guided by input from local residents, DVDCreative’s design adds synthetic turf soccer fields, a community center, colorful play areas, picnic spots, and ball courts, all connected by improved paths and enhanced lighting for safety and ease of access. Upgraded parking and facilities also support numerous community clubs and activities, keeping the park buzzing with energy.
At the center of the revitalized park is the new playground, designed as a vibrant focal point where children can imagine, climb, and play freely. Surrounding spaces encourage social interaction, active recreation, and community events, creating a sense of connection and belonging for visitors of all ages. With these updates, Fremont Park has become more than just a greenspace—it’s a dynamic, engaging destination where families, friends, and neighbors can enjoy play, recreation, and connection every day.
