The Santa Ana Zoo Splash Pad is designed as an immersive, Sierra-inspired retreat that blends recreation with environmental storytelling. Featuring naturalistic rock work, a warm wood deck, and a sustainable recirculating water system, the space offers a refreshing, family-friendly escape. Custom sculptures of nine native California frog species add an educational layer, connecting play to the Zoo’s broader mission of conservation.

The Santa Ana Zoo splash pad is designed as an immersive, nature-inspired cooling retreat that draws from the character of California’s High Sierras. This engaging play environment combines rugged, naturalistic rock work with a warm wood deck to create a setting that feels both adventurous and inviting. At its core is a sustainable, recirculating water system that delivers an interactive experience for children while supporting responsible water use. Enhancing its educational and thematic value, the splash pad features custom sculptures representing nine species of native California frogs, blending play with subtle ecological storytelling. The result is a dynamic, family-friendly destination that not only provides relief from the heat but also reinforces the Zoo’s broader mission of conservation and connection to the natural world.
