Ana Montenegro Park is a unique mini-park that honors the legacy of a pioneering community leader while serving as an inclusive gathering place for Baldwin Park residents. Named after the city’s first woman City Treasurer, the park reflects Ana Montenegro’s lifelong commitment to representation, equity, and civic pride. The design weaves cultural expression into the landscape through meaningful gathering spaces and symbolic elements that celebrate the diversity and heritage of the surrounding community.
At the heart of the park is a celebration of culture through play, art, and shared experience. Custom playground elements inspired by the bold forms and bright colors of alebrijes introduce a sense of imagination and cultural storytelling, creating a unique and engaging environment for children and families. Complemented by thoughtfully arranged gathering spaces and flexible areas for events, the park supports both everyday use and larger community celebrations.
